Parsippany, NJ (August, 2018) – OHAUS Corporation, a worldwide leader in the weighing industry announced the re-introduction of their newly refined CKW Checkweigher Series - a user-friendly line of checkweighing scales, specially designed with an open-architecture for improved performance, durability and maximum food safety conformance.
 
Improved Durability and Performance
The CKW Checkweigher series is in full HACCP compliance, and is NSF certified. These precision scales bring together the speed and accuracy for which OHAUS products have long been known, along with an improved base design for more complete cleaning, and strength to withstand the harsh and wet conditions found in industrial and food-processing environments. 
 
Durable and Easy-to-Clean Construction
Constructed of rigid stainless steel, with no visible threads or sharp corners, and featuring a hollow column, these scales minimize the trapping of small food debris, thereby greatly reducing cleaning time. The CKW Series' easy-to-clean construction conforms with most rigid food industry safety regulations where washdown weighing applications require protection to NEMA 4X/IP66 or higher.  Combined with fully configurable software, these scales eliminate numerous complications associated with checkweighing, while enabling the user to improve productivity, save time and reduce costs.
 
Advanced, Adjustable Checkweighing Options
Designed for fast set-up, the CKW Checkweigher series boasts multiple configurations for specific user operational needs. These scales provide superior flexibility and performance, featuring a straightforward and easy-to-navigate interface and sophisticated software that supports multiple weighing units and allows setpoint target configurability by weight or variance to weight.
 
Large Backlit LED to Display Weighing Results and Additional Prompts
The CKW Checkweigher offers three LEDs (green, yellow and red) for checkweighing indication with a beeper and weight display alert. The bright, backlit dual-line LED display shows the weight on the platform, as well as text information and prompts.  The scales feature checkweighing methods to allow positive checkweighing for packaging into a box; negative checkweighing to weigh how much is removed from a full container, and net checkweighing for sorting and grading.  Additional software features include full lockout of settings and keys to limit operator error and full support of GMP/GLP standards for connectivity by RS232 or RS422/485.
 
These newly improved scales also include built-in external remote input to Tare, Zero or Print, and built-in RS232. For further system connectivity and use in industrial process applications, optional Relay Outputs are also available.
 
Special Features and Specifications
The CKW Checkweigher series produces 1:6000 or 1:7500 maximum display readability, and is available in two sizes and four capacities  -- 10 x 10 inch 6lb/3kg, 10 x 10 inch 15lb/6kg, 12 x 12 inch 30lb/15kg and 12 x12 inch 60lb/30kg.  Other standard features include:

• Stainless steel IP67 load cell and NEMA 4X/IP66 indicator
• Stainless steel 9 inch column
• Adjustable non-slip rubber leveling feet
• Strategically located rubber load pads and down-stops for heavy-duty protection against shock and overload
• 100-240 VAC internal universal power supply, and optional internal rechargeable battery
